Abidjan, 28 Dec (AIP) – The NGO “Orphans Widows Education care” (OWEC) offered toys to 30 orphaned children and a large food donation to 12 widows from the Toviato sub-district, in the commune of Port-Bouët , thus bringing joy in their hearts during this holiday season.

This donation, including, among other things, clothes, rice, pasta, oil and soaps, was given to recipients on Monday during a Christmas tree, according to a briefing note. transmitted Saturday to the AIP.

According to the founder of the NGO, Kady Diarra, through this charitable work, it is a question of coming to the aid of these disadvantaged populations, in accordance with its mission assigned by its non-governmental organization present in Côte d’Ivoire and in several countries of the sub-region.

For her part, the national president of the said NGO, Awa Diabaté, explained that this gift also aims to fill with joy the orphans and widows, and to offer them moments of joy and well-being.

The orphans and widows who benefited from Toviato, receiving this large batch of gifts, thanked the benefactor for his generosity and addressed blessings to the donor for this moment of happiness.

Based in the United States, the NGO “Orphans Widow Education care” works to improve the living conditions of widows and orphans while contributing to the empowerment of widows by providing them with the financial support necessary for the development of a commercial activity, this, in order to allow them to take care of their families.
